• School Priorities 2026-27

Our key improvement priorities for the forthcoming year are as follows. Everyone in our school community - leaders, staff, governors, MAT, pupils and parents - has a key role to play in ensuring our school provides the very best for our children, enabling them to achieve well.

PRIORITY 1 Curriculum & Outcomes - overseen by Mrs Baillie-Young and Standards Governor

• Ensure pupil outcomes continue to be inline with or above national averages for all groups
• Maintain a key focus on foundational skills
• Embed assessment systems and ensure outcomes are accurate and inform teaching across school and across subjects

PRIORITY 2 Attitudes to Learning - overseen by Mr Hill and SIAMS Governor

• Develop a comprehensive PSHE curriculum that prepares pupils to thrive as healthy, safe and responsible citizens in our community
• Wellbeing mentors working with children

PRIORITY 3– Marketing and Engaging Stakeholders - overseen by Mr Cooper and Finance & Sustainability Governor

• Continue sharing our high expectations and outcomes with parents and the wider community

PRIORITY 4:  SEND & Inclusion  - overseen by Miss Haines and SEND Governor

• Develop consistently high-quality adaptive teaching so that pupils with SEND access an ambitious curriculum alongside their peers and achieve well
• Ensure pupils are appropriately placed in line with their needs

PRIORITY 5 - EYFS - overseen by Mrs Penfold and SIP & Standards Governor

• Consistently develop children’s language, vocabulary and understanding through high-quality interactions in the early years
• Continue to strengthen then consistency of teaching in phonics
