Year 6 Jazz Concert

Year 6 had the whole school moving to the beat as they enthralled us in their jazz concert.

We travelled the world with them as they performed various songs from around the globe.

Both classes had also written their own song to perform with instruments, actions and even solo pieces!

Thank you to all the Year 6 parents who were able to join us in the audience; demonstrating how music really does bring people together!

Well done Year 6 on an absolutely fabulous performance!

6F's lyrics:

A tinge of sadness as I go back home,
Full of people, I still feel alone.
Tears only I know,
Cherished memories start to flow,
Day by day I’m coming home to you.

A ragged soldier coming back from war,
I’ve been around the world, still I want more.
Now I have travelled everywhere,
Rejoicing music fills the air
Day by day I’m coming home to you.

The bittersweet as you leave your favourite place,
Memories are etched upon your face.
The moment that you glimpse your family,
They will live and love and laugh along with me.

I will always return to you.
Cross my heart and it will come true.
I will always return to you.
It’s the thing I will always do.

Come back home, home to you.

6M's lyrics:

Boom say-kah!

Oh ay oh-oh

Bada yada  (x4)

All around the world
There’s a language we all know
And it spreads from heart to heart
Across the globe

Soars above the Earth
Like an eagle flying high
Breath taking views
Of something new

In every corner of the whole wide world
There is a music there that shines like gold
And it brings all the people side by side.
And there’s no where…you can hide.

YOU CAN’T JUST SEPARATE PEOPLE BY THEIR COUNTRY,
IN THE END MOST PEOPLE WANT TO MEET
SO YOU’VE GOT TO LET PEOPLE GET TOGETHER
TAKE A SEAT LET MUSIC DO THE TALKING……

TAKE A SEAT LET MUSIC DO THE TALKING.

Boom say-kah!

Oh ay oh-oh

Bada yada  (x4)
